Learn Exam Questions in Turkish: Boating Licence, Fishing Exam
There are many Turkish-speaking learners in Germany – and yet the official exam questions are available almost only in German. BootFit shows every question in the German original and translates it into Turkish underneath. The sport boat licence and the fishing exam are tested in German – and the app prepares you for that German text.

Why the German text stays
All exams that BootFit prepares you for are taken in German: the question papers of the Sportbootführerschein (sport boat licence; multiple-choice procedure under SpFV Anlage 3) and the fishing exams of the federal states. In the exam, you read the German original text – and that is exactly the text the app shows unchanged, with number and source. This way, you memorize the German wording that appears in the exam and at the same time understand what it is about.
Three translation modes
In the settings you choose how much translation you want to see:
- German only – as in the exam; the translation can be shown per question.
- German + translation – the default: German text with the Turkish translation underneath, also under every answer.
- Translation in focus – for getting started, when technical terms are still unfamiliar.
After answering, a short explanation in German and Turkish appears of why the answer is correct. Technical terms such as Steuerbord (starboard), Fahrwasser (fairway), Schleuse (lock), Schonzeit (closed season) or Vorfahrt (right of way) are listed with translation in the glossary, and the read-aloud function reads the question and answers in German – at an adjustable speed.
Where the translations come from
We never change the official questions. The translations and explanations are learning aids: they are generated by machine and reviewed editorially step by step; unreviewed texts carry an AI label, reviewed ones a tick. In case of doubt, the German original text always applies – that is also the text the examiners grade. If you find an unsuitable translation, you report it directly on the question; corrections benefit all learners.
How to learn effectively in two languages
- Understand first, then memorise: read the question in German, then the translation, then the German again.
- Answers are shuffled: in the official catalogue answer a is always correct – the app shuffles the positions so that you learn the content.
- Review mistakes: questions answered incorrectly come back on a schedule (spaced repetition) until they stick.
- Simulate the exam – in German: switch the translation off for the simulation so that the exam situation is realistic.
- Learn offline: the question package with translations can be downloaded – on the go, in the harbour, on the train.
