All exam questions and answers are reproduced unchanged from the official question catalogue for the German inland recreational boating licence (Sportbootführerschein Binnen), applicable from 1 August 2023, published by the Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration on www.elwis.de. ELWIS content may be reused unchanged with attribution to www.elwis.de.

Exam rules

30 questions (7 basic + 23 inland-specific), 45 minutes. Pass: at least 5 correct basic questions and at least 18 correct inland questions.
